Gorenja Trebusa (22 km from Idrija), Slovenia Kmetija Nasraj is a charming tourist farm beautifully located amidst nature at an altitude of 920 meters in western Slovenia. It's a 30 minute drive to the town of Idrija and a 45 minute drive to the town of Tolmin. The rooms are all simply furnished but clean and homely. While the shared bathrooms are used by other guests staying at the property, they are single occupancy bathrooms with sink, toilet, and shower. The food is all produced at the farm and very tasty. The entire region is spectacularly beautiful, and the owners are very genuine people and make you feel welcome and they also speak some basic English. The free WiFi works well throughout the property. Free private parking is available. Location: Comfort: Food: Cleanliness: Facilities: Staff & Service: Value for money: Free WiFi: Free parking: |

Idrija is a lovely small town with a population of just under 6,000 in western Slovenia that lies at the base of a valley, amid green hills and is crossed by the Idrijca river. It has a typical central-European architecture and you can see a strong influence of the Austro-Hungarian empire, especially in the town's main buildings. Today, Idrija is best known for three things: a mercury mine (the reason for Idrija's spot on UNESCO's World Heritage list), intricate locally made lace and zlikrofi (a traditional Slovenian dish from Idrija). |
