Just another beautiful day at Lake Bohinj in the Triglav Natinal Park. The lake is surrounded by spectacular mountains of the Julian Alps.
Lake Bohinj is known as the lake at the end of the world and on this wonderful photo taken by Luka Esenko it really does seem like it’s at the end of the world.
Bled Island is a tiny Island in the middle of the lake. It’s barely large enough to embrace the 15th-century Church of the Assumption of Mary.
Lake Jasna is really a fantastic place to spend a bit of time and enjoy stunning mountain views.
The spring in Goriska Brda is just so beautiful. It is when everything is coming to life. In addition to its grapes and wine, Goriska Brda is celebrated for its delicious cherries usually available in late May and early June.
Prlekija is a land along the Mura river in the north-east of Slovenia. This is the land of storks, culinary delights and hills covered with vineyards.
With its fertile plains and sunny slopes, covered by vineyards, Prlekija is such an underrated region of Slovenia.
Sveti Tomaz is a small settlement near the medieval town of Skofja Loka in the Upper Carniola region. It offers one of the most scenic views in Slovenia.

The western rim of the Ljubljana Marshes, viewed from St. Anne Hill above Podpec.
The Ljubljana Marshes is a natural area of wetlands and peat bogs that extend over the south and southeast part of the Ljubljana Basin. Sometimes all that a photographer needs is good light and a tree.
The Slovenian countryside is just astoundingly beautiful, very clean and the people are incredibly friendly and hard-working. Visiting it is always a unique experience.
The mist gently rising behind the cottages located somewhere in the idyllic valley of Voje near Lake Bohinj.
Idyllic shepherds’ huts on the Zajamniki mountain pasture on the Pokljuka plateau.
Two sheep enjoying stunning mountain views on an alpine pasture in the Slovenian Alps.
Admire the world-famous Lipizzan horses at the Lipica Stud Farm, once the Habsburgs’ royal stables.
Slovenia is famous for its honey. This is a close-up of brightly colored, square beehives in Slovenia. They are painted green, blue, purple, red, yellow, white and orange. The different colors are so that the bees can identify their hive. There are many openings on the front for access and there are lots of bees flying around.
The Tartini Square in the coastal town of Piran is very picturesque, surrounded by charming, Venetian buildings with beautiful architecture displayed. A statue of Tartini overlooks the square, watching a people walk by or just sit and enjoy their coffees and drinks.
The charming coastal town of Piran basking in the evening light.
The Strunjan and Secovlje saltpans are the most northern pans in the Mediterranean and among the few pans where salt is still being produced using the traditional processes.
A wonderful view of the evening Ljubljana from the castle tower.
The New Year’s fireworks over the castle in Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana during New Year’s Eve 2014/2015.

The heart of Triglav National Park in beautiful autumn colors.
The Seven Triglav Lakes valley is the core of the Triglav national park. Mists, clouds, rain, sunshine – all came together in this scene.
The clear mountain stream Mostnica meandering picturesquely in autumn through the Voje valley near Lake Bohinj.
When the water from the Boka waterfall, which is the most water abundant waterfall in Slovenia, flows into a river called Boka, it merges into the Soca River less than 950 meters away. And, so the most watery Slovenian waterfall becomes the shortest river in Slovenia.
The beautiful Lepenjica river at its upper stream. Lepenjica is always a wonderful place to visit when in the Soca Valley.
The very unique leaning Predelica waterfall with a 20 meters drop is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Triglav National Park. It’s extremely difficult to access, so it’s rarely visited and mostly unknown.
Fratarica is a mountain stream, coming down from Oblica summit in Loska wall. It’s famous for its lovely waterfalls and so extremely popular for canyoning. These two pearls are in the lower part, above them there is the famous Parabola waterfall.
You will find the Pericnik waterfall in the Vrata valley in the Triglav National Park. It’s formed from the Lower Pericnik Fall which is 52 metres high, and the Upper Pericnik fall (on the picture), which is 16 metres high.
The Kozjak waterfall is pretty spectacular and has an amazing emerald green pool at its base. The water is freezing cold if you think of swimming. It’s located near the town of Kobarid and is absolutely worth the short hike (maybe 15-20 min to the fall). If Waterfall Kozjak is not on your itinerary already, you have to put it on now.
The Soca gorge is one of the most beautiful natural attractions in the Triglav National Park.
Vintgar Gorge is a strikingly picturesque gorge situated inside the Triglav National Park. It has well kept walkways that are very accessible to people of all ages and fitness levels. The Radovna river running through the gorge is an aquamarine gem so clear you can count the small pebbles within its depths. Definitely a must-see natural attraction when in Slovenia.
Vintgar Gorge looks so beautiful draped in winter white with all the snow. It is ‘closed’ during winter which means it’s free to enter, there’s no gate entrance but just a sign.
Lake Bled is beautiful in winter with the scenery of snow. Just ridiculously beautiful!
This is not a scene from the Swan Lake fairytale, it’s a group of elegant white swans floating on Lake Cerknica in the winter..
That amazing feeling of being on top of the world. The Slovenian Alps in winter are magical and beautiful.
Slovenia’s highest mountain peak Mount Triglav and Julian Alps are very special in many ways.
Winters in the Slovenian Alps can be pretty severe.
