Bled is known for it’s stunning setting, lake, castle on the rock above the lake and an old church on the island, but it’s also an extremely attractive starting point for hiking trips of every degree of difficulty to the eastern reaches of Triglav National Park. The most popular nearby spots are Vintgar and the Pokljuka Gorge, however, the Pokljuka Plateau, Mezakla, Jelovica, Stol, Vrtaca and Begunjscica are also not far away.
