About Bovec, Slovenia
Bovec is a lovely little town of just over 1,600 residents situated in the northwestern corner of Slovenia, with the Soca River below and the Julian Alps above. It is the most important town in the Soca Valley, offering a plethora of activities for adventure-sports enthusiasts. That’s why the town is known as the adventure tourism capital of Slovenia.
Bovec is located 136 kilometres (85 miles) from Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana, close to the border with Italy, at an elevation of 434 meters (1,424 feet).
