Kranjska Gora, Slovenia Skipass Hotel is a beautifully designed and extremely well run family hotel with only ten rooms, but it's also modern and sophisticated with up-to-date facilities. The location of the hotel is excellent, only a 5 minutes easy walk to the old town square and ten minutes walk to the main chairlifts of Kranjska Gora. The ski slopes can be seen from the hotel and the hotel has wonderful views of the mountains. We're genuinely struggling to find the words to describe how extraordinary this hotel is. Superlatives come easy after a visit here as just about everything is really first class. Skiing holidays can be very expensive and you will never find a hotel of this quality and level of service at this price in Austria, Switzerland, France, or Italy - it will probably cost you at least double. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and the bed, bedding and pillows are of high quality and extremely comfortable. The modern bathroom is amazing with under floor heating and great shower pressure. The food is exceptional - the breakfast is a generous varied buffet with eggs, meat, etc. cooked to order and the evening meal is three courses with a range of dishes wonderfully presented and served. The staff, mostly family is awesome and their dedication to ensuring their guests have the best possible stay is commendable. We have never stayed in a hotel where the staff took so much pride in sustaining the high reputation that they have built up over the years. All in all, an absolute gem - from the tasteful decor to the friendly service, comfortable rooms and the fantastic food, this wonderful hotel puts it all together for a great stay in Kranjska Gora. We can't recommend this wonderful family-run hotel enough. Location: Style/character: Staff & service: Rooms: Facilities: Food & drink: Cleanliness: Value for money: Free WiFi: Free parking: |

Kranjska Gora, Slovenia Ramada Resort Kranjska Gora is a lovely ski-to-door hotel, ideally positioned for accessing chairlift and walking and cycle routes. Slightly away from the hotel there are many nice cafes/bars and restaurants within a five minute walk. The hotel is very family focussed - must be one of the best child friendly hotels in the Alps. It has a fabulous indoor pool (it's huge with an area for swimmers away from the main pool) and spa area plus two large, outdoor sun terraces with wonderful views. The rooms are large and comfortable but do need some upgrading - which the hotel seems to be working on. It's well worth paying a little extra for a room facing the ski slopes because the nightlife across the road can be a little noisy at times, and views are amazing. And if you're a non-skier, you can watch your family or friends ski from your balcony. The bathroom is modern and of a decent size. The staff are fine, they are not overly friendly or intrusive but are polite and efficient and in general the hotel is clean, modern and spacious. The food is fantastic with a great choice for breakfast and dinner. The complimentary wifi and parking are always welcome.
