The location is very convenient, close to restaurants and shops and just a short distance from the bus station, and about a 15-20 minute walk to the Postojna caves. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious with modern light fittings, flat screen TV and a modern bathroom with a shower. The rooms are also very clean with no sign of wear or tear anywhere. The homemade continental breakfast is superb, the food is all fresh and of good quality and generously served. Mira and Boris are brilliant hosts, friendly and helpful, and very knowledgeable on the local area and make you feel very welcome. Hospitality is clearly a passion for them both. The parking is ample and free. The free Wi-Fi works well with excellent signal strength in the rooms as well as around the property. LIPIZZANER LODGE GUEST HOUSE Landol, Postojna, Slovenia Lipizzaner Lodge Guest House is a new, purpose-built guesthouse run by an enthusiastic husband and wife team. The guesthouse is located in the rustic little village of Landol, a short drive from Postojna. The location is excellent to visit the Postojna and Skocjan caves and all the other attractions in the area, including the Predjama Castle which is just down the road, The lodge is spotlessly clean and quite luxurious. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and the bathrooms are high end, very modern and large. All the rooms are quiet with a view of the countryside, so you can't go wrong with any room. The self-catering suite/apartment is especially spacious and commodious. The common areas are well laid out. There is lovely patio outdoor seating. There is even a lovely cinema room, with a projector and several titles to pick from. The breakfasts are excellent with homemade treats each morning and we also recommend the dinner option. The dinners are superb three course meals and they have lots of great Slovenian wine. The guesthouse itself is really charming and comfortable, but the owners are what makes this an outstanding choice for travelers. Hanna is a terrific cook and Chris knows the area inside out and his advice on trips and activities is always spot on. Free WiFi and free parking are provided too. In summary, rooms are spacious, food is outstanding. location is gorgeous and quiet and owners extremely welcoming and helpful. We can't recommend the Lipizzaner Lodge guesthouse highly enough! GUEST HOUSE ANA.K Prestranek, Postojna, Slovenia Guesthouse ANA.k is a budget friendly guest house located in a small village of Prestranek, about 8 minutes drive to Postojna. The property is well maintained, and very clean. The rooms are of different sizes and a little basic but are spacious and clean and with lovely little bathrooms. The breakfast is rich and tasty and includes cheese, ham, eggs, a number of spreads and hot drinks to your liking. The owners, Crtomir and Ana, are very friendly and will go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. They are also very knowledgeable about the area, both in terms of restaurants and sights to see. The free WiFi is high speed and works well both in the rooms and even outside. The free parking is also a plus. Overall, this is a budget-friendly guest house not to be missed when you are traveling through the Postojna area. YELLOW DREAMHOUSE Postojna, Slovenia Yellow Dreamhouse is a charming small and very new guesthouse run by a lovely interior designer Alenka and her musician husband. The location is excellent, in a quiet neighborhood on the southern edge of Postojna, only a short drive to the Postojna Caves. The rooms are beautifully designed and spacious with a modern bathroom. The beds are really comfortable with lovely bedding. The buffet breakfast is well stocked and a great way to start your day. The lounge is very comfortable and there's also a wonderful garden where you can relax, have a glass of wine and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The owners are really kind and helpful and put a lot of effort and love into the place. Wi-Fi works great throughout the building and outdoor areas and free parking is available too. LEMONWOOD HOUSE Postojna, Slovenia Lemonwood House is a nice budget guest house located on the northeastern edge of Postojna. The property is a 10 minute walk into the town centre and the Postojna cave is 15 minutes away on foot. It's very easy to find and a short walk from the train station, The rooms are on the small side of the scale, but clean and efficient, perfect for a good night sleep. The continental breakfast is available only during the season and is nice with many different choices such as meats, eggs, cheese, jams, and cereals. The owners are very friendly and help you out with any queries you may have. The free WiFi works pretty good in the rooms but varies around the property. The free on site parking is also a plus. All in all, a good value accommodation option when staying in Postojna. The location is very central, only a short walk from many restaurants, cafes and shops and also within a walking distance from the caves (10 minutes on foot). As for the property itself, the rooms are simple and clean, practically furnished with a flat screen TV, tea and coffee facilities and a modern bathroom. The beds are comfortable and linens very clean. Everything is bright and comfortable. The owners, Rebeka and Simon, are very friendly and most helpful. They speak excellent English and also a number of other languages. The WiFi and parking are free. Altogether, fantastic for the price. A great option if you have things to see or do in Postojna.
