About The Predjama Castle
The Renaissance-style Predjama Castle is one of the most extraordinary castles in Europe. It sits nestled in the mouth of a cave and is set within a 123-metre-tall rock face. The castle isn’t very large, but it looks like something that would fit into a fantasy novel. It looks simply unconquerable.
The castle is located on the eastern edge of the village of Predjama, only 10 kilometres (6 miles) northwest of the famous Postojna Cave and some 60 kilometres (37 miles) southhwest of Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana.
