The location is really fantastic, it's right in the center of everything Ljubljana has to offer, along the river with beautiful views, yet when you close the windows, it's peaceful and quiet and you really don't hear noise from the street below. Many restaurants and cafes are right outside the door. There are a number of different apartments and rooms available on the third and fourth floor. There is no lift in the building so it may not be suitable for people with impaired mobility or elderly people who have difficulty with stairs. The rooms and apartments are of different sizes and shapes, but all are very nicely appointed, modern, light, airy and very clean and have everything you need for a city break. The beds are luxuriously comfortable, the linens and towels impeccable. The air con works well which is important in the summer! The bathrooms are a little on the small side but modern and equipped with L'Occitane toiletry products. The apartments also have a small but well-equipped kitchen. so you can buy and bring food to heat or cook. The staff are incredible and go far above and beyond to make guests feel at home. They are available 24 hours and have great knowledge about the city. The free WiFi is fast with good signal and the free laundry service is also a great add on. There's no parking available but a chargeable public parking lot is a short walk away. APARTMENTS & ROOMS MESCANKA Ljubljana, Slovenia Apartments And Rooms Mescanka is a fantastic self-catering accommodation in the perfect location for your stay in Slovenia's capital Ljubljana. It's right in the Old Town pedestrian zone, along the Ljubljanica river between the Triple Bridge and the Cobbler's Bridge. Any direction you wish to explore is an easy walk and numerous restaurants, shops, and café bars are located nearby. The flats are located 10 minutes' walk from the bus/train station. There are seven apartments available, from studio to 2 bedroom and from our observations they are all equally well furnished and decorated. All apartments are situated on the upper floors and there is no lift in the building, so keep this in mind if you have mobility problems. For an older building, they have done a really nice remodel to make it a very comfortable stay. The apartments themselves are extremely clean and furnished and decorated in a smart and contemporary way. The beds are really comfortable, linen is excellent, and bathrooms, although a bit small, are adequate and modern and the shower is great with plenty of hot water. They have double windows so the noise is not a problem and the air-con is cool and refreshing. The kitchens are pretty well equipped, although very small. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. The free Wi-Fi works brilliantly. If you have a car, there's a parking garage 2 minutes' walk from the Mescanka. In summary, a wonderful central place to stay in the pedestrian zone of the city center. The apartments have everything you need, are well furnished and have double glazed windows so no street noise, lovely views across the river, good WiFi, very comfortable beds and nice showers. TILIA STAY Ljubljana, Slovenia TiliaStay is a wonderful accommodation offering 4 apartments in a modern building called Situla built in 2014. The location is great, it is about a 10-15 minute walk to the Ljubljana Old Town and very close to the train station and the bus station. A number of bars and restaurants are also within easy walking distance. The apartments feel absolutely new, they are beautifully furnished and have everything that you need for a romantic and/or superbly comfortable home away from home, including kitchens with all the utensils needed for cooking. The beds are super comfortable, the windows are well-insulated against noise, and the bedding is of very high quality. The air-con works well, which is a blessing as it can get very hot in Ljubljana in the summer. The bathrooms are very well finished with great showers with good water pressure. All apartments also have a balcony and the views are amazing looking towards the city and mountains and beyond to the snow capped peaks of the Slovenian Alps in the distance. One apartment even has a sauna. The owners, Tadeja and Igor, are very friendly and accommodating and also extremely knowledgeable about what to see and do in Ljubljana and can give you lots of great information. The free WiFi is strong and reliable enough to stream a football game. Another plus is a safe and secure underground parking for €1 a day. All in all, a brilliant place to stay in Ljubljana. WHITE HOUSE BELA HISA Ljubljana, Slovenia The White House or Bela Hisa as it is called in Slovenian is a very modern and well-designed Art Deco building and is very chic, stylish and modern inside, with plenty of space and all the latest appliances. The centre of Ljubljana is approx. 4 kilometres away - it takes approximately 45 minutes to walk it, but we recommend getting the bus which is really cheap and the journey takes just 10 minutes and you can catch it virtually right outside the White House. Tickets are purchased prior to getting on the bus from the kiosk next to the bus stop. The kind lady at the kiosk will tell you which number buses you can get on. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance and there is also a lively bar just behind the White House and a 24 hour McDonalds just in front. There are 8 apartments and 4 rooms in the house, all nicely decorated, modern, spotlessly clean and really well sound proof between doors. The bedrooms may be a bit small, but the beds are large and very comfortable with memory foam mattresses and nice, soft pillows. The bathrooms are modern and well-fitted with fantastic showers. The kitchens in the apartments are well equipped with cooking appliances, utensils and crockery if you fancy cooking and the supermarket is literally round the corner. The staff are friendly and very helpful with advice on the area and public transport details. The free WiFi works very well and is fast. Another advantage of staying here is that secure parking is provided if you have a car. All in all, a wonderful place to stay on the edge of Ljubljana, modern, clean and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. ALO APARTMENTS VILA KLARA Ljubljana, Slovenia Alo Apartments Vila Klara is a wonderful accommodation located in a safe and quiet neighborhood, yet only a block from the road that takes you directly to the highway. It's a 15-20 minute walk to the Triple Bridge area in the heart of the Ljubljana Old Town. and it's a pleasant walk partly along the Ljubljanica river. The area is very safe, so walking along the river at night isn't a problem. There is a supermarket a 5 minute walk away and a few little cafes for breakfast. The building is small and solidly built so quiet. There's no noise through the walls or from the street. It is relatively new, and everything is spotlessly clean. There are only 2 apartments per floor in a 3 story building. The first floor has a single apartment. So a total of 5 apartments, all furnished with everything you need and some extras that you usually don't find in other apartments in Ljubljana. The beds are comfortable and provide a good night's rest. Most bathrooms are on the small side, but functional and very clean. The showers have good water pressure and water temperature is consistent during showers. The kitchens are well equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave and several small appliances like a blender, toaster and coffee maker, and plenty of dishes, pots and pans. Each apartment also has a balcony. but the balconies on the top floor are smaller than the middle floor. The owners are very friendly and very accommodating to all your needs. They are not onsight though they do have a small office there for check-ins and there is a phone where you can call them. This is handy and they are always available and prompt if you need something. The free WiFi is fast and works everywhere in the building. Another nice feature is a washer and dryer in a separate building located on the grounds. There is free parking all around the building, and they also have a small courtyard to park in. All in all, a great self-catering accommodation, clean, modern, spotless, and good value for the money. HOUSE TRTA Ljubljana, Slovenia House Trta is a lovely accommodation beautifully situated by the Ljubljanica river. The location is fantastic, just a short 5-minute walk into the main pedestrianised area of Ljubljana and lovely river walk to all the bridges (10 minutes max to the Dragon Bridge). Also, it's close to all the restaurants and cafes of the main eating strips. The building was recently renovated, so the furniture and fittings all appear new, modern and in good order. The apartments and rooms are air-conditioned, spacious, immaculately clean and the beds are super comfortable. The bathrooms are modern, with a nice shower and good water pressure, The apartment also has a kitchen which is well equipped with everything you would need to make a meal and more. The river views are superb. The owners, Darja and her husband, are extremely welcoming and helpful, providing advice about the city including getting around and food recommendations. The pizza restaurant downstairs is delicious and has great food and pasta. It's managed by the same people and has the same name. The fact that accommodation is above a restaurant is no problem at all, you won't hear a thing. The free WiFi is excellent and reliably fast. The parking is just across the street, but they are city parking places, so you have to pay €5 per day. In summary, the accommodation is modern, clean, spacious; and the location is superb; with views of the river, and just a short walk into the gorgeous Old Town of Ljubljana. APARTHOTEL VILA MINKA Ljubljana, Slovenia ApartHotel Vila Minka is a lovely family run accommodation on the outskirts of Ljubljana. It is situated in a very quiet neighbourhood, about a 40 minute walk or 5-10 minutes by bus from Ljubljana centre with bus stop very close by. The building is well kept, clean and elegant and there are a number of apartments and rooms of different shapes and sizes available. The apartments are comfortable and appointed well with every home comfort you could need. The rooms are fairly large and the beds are large and comfortable and its easy to get a good night's sleep. The furnishings are warm and of a high standard. The bathrooms are clean with plenty of hot water and white towels. The kitchens are small but functional and well appointed and are more than adequate for holiday use. Breakfast is available at a small extra charge, and is simple (coffee, fruit juice , yoghurt, cereals, fruit, selection of meats, cheese and breads) but right to set you up for a day's exploring. The owners, Mrs. Minka and her family, go out of their way to help you and make sure you are comfortable. The free WIFI is fast and works perfectly throughout the building and free covered parking is something that is hard to find in Ljubljana. All in all, a very nice accommodation, a little out of town, but only a few minutes drive to the downtown core. VILA EMA APARTMENTS AND ROOMS Ljubljana, Slovenia Vila Ema Apartments And Rooms is a little gem of a place run by a very hospitable couple. Whilst the location is a good 20 minute walk from the centre of Ljubljana, it's a safe walk and the place is in a nice area of town, very pleasant and quiet. There is a bus stop very close and it's just about 100 meters from two city bike locations that make traveling to the center (and other areas) convenient. There are two apartments, a studio and a double room in the building. Everything is spotlessly clean and the decor is beautiful. The apartments are spacious, bright with all comforts of home. The beds are very comfortable for a good night's sleep. The bathrooms are high end and modern and the towels are large and soft. The kitchens are equipped with all the essentials, making it very convenient to prepare a meal or heat up some leftovers. There is no breakfast available, but there are a lot of opportunities in the neighbourhood to get a nice breakfast. The owners, Milena and his husband, are very welcoming and friendly and really helpful in providing information about the city. The parking is free and there are enough spaces on the premises. A very good restaurant and large supermarket are a 5 minute walk away. There are 2 apartments in the building, both very bright, modern, spotlessly clean and, as the name suggests, very colorful. Both apartments feel absolutely new, they are beautifully furnished and have everything that you need to self cater. The decor is modern and light, unlike many properties in Ljubljana which are more traditional and dark-wood style. The beds are very comfortable and the linen and pillows are high quality, particularly the pillows. The bathrooms are modern and first class, with glass standing showers and endless hot water. The kitchens are good sized and well equipped with all appliances, dishes, pans and some basic condiments and spices. The outdoor space is lovely when the weather's good, and the grill is an added bonus. The owner Misa is a lovely host, extremely kind and helpful and at the same time not intrusive at all. The free WiFi works well and is reasonably fast and there is also free parking available if you have a car. Overall, a great 'home from home' in a quiet setting a little outside city center that leaves nothing to be desired: light and colorful, spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds, good cooking facilities, and a lovely garden. APARTMENT M&M Ljubljana, Slovenia Apartment M&M is located as a separate unit in a large family house in a nice and safe neighborhood, about 15 minutes drive to the center of Ljubljana. There's also a bus stop just 1 minute walk away. The whole place is very clean and well maintained. The apartment is modern, spacious, very nicely furnished, and the air con works really well. The bed is large, it is a king size bed, very comfortable too. The bed linens are exquisite; comfortable, elegant and European style. The kitchen is large and equipped with full size refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, microwave, and everything else you need for cooking and dining. There's a nice balcony where you can sit and relax when the weather is nice. Milena, the owner, is a very kind and helpful person. There's also a lovely garden and play area for children.
