Piran, Slovenia Vila Piranesi is a modern place to stay in a historic old building based on the harbour front in beautiful Piran. The location is superb, right in the heart of the Old Town, almost on the main Tartini square and a very short walk from the bus station. A great bakery and a small supermarket are just a couple of minutes walk away. There are also lots of great bars/cafes and restaurants nearby. It's really very handy for everything - restaurants, cafes/bars, swimming and buses. There are 17 apartments available in the building. The reception is on the 2nd floor and there is no lift in the building, so keep this in mind if you have mobility problems. The apartments are tastefully decorated, very clean and reasonably well-equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable self-catering stay in the town with the added benefit of character and charm. The beds are comfortable with good quality linen. The air con is great and vital in the summer months. At times it can be a little noisy at night, but that's a small price to pay for being so central and the noise is really not a big issue - it's actually surprisingly quiet, given how close the villa is to everything. Some apartments have fantastic views of the little fishing boats in the quay. Really picturesque. The bathrooms are recently remodeled and very modern and elegant as well as functional. The apartments have a basic kitchenette which is great if you want to stay in but you are a very short walk away from many different restaurants if you want a night out. The manager is wonderful and knowledgeable about the area and very helpful suggesting places to eat and can even arrange discounted parking in a car park at the edge of town. The cars have to park outside town, but you can park outside Vila Piranesi for an hour for free to unload. The free WiFi works well throughout the building. All in all, a great place to stay in Piran. The apartments are air-conditioned, clean, well maintained and have all the necessary amenities for a really nice stay. It is housed in a beautifully renovated historic building situated right next to the harbor and very close to the Tartini square in the center of Piran. Everything is within easy walking distance. The bus station is a 3 minute walk away and a supermarket is just a few steps away. The building itself is immaculately clean, tidy and very well maintained, There are two apartments available, both spacious and with great views of the harbor and the sea. You can hear the sound of waves lapping on the shore if you keep the window open. The air con works well and quiet and can discharge either hot air or cold air. A large flat-screen TV with lots of channels, and a safe are also provided. The decor and beds in the apartments are a little basic and could use an upgrade. It can be a bit noisy at night, but nothing unexpected for the location - that's the price you pay for being so central. The bathrooms are small but have modern fittings. The kitchens are really well equipped and laid out. It's like cooking at home. Nothing is forgotten. Fresh seafood can be bought from the dock at the main square. The staff from PachaMama are very friendly and hospitable and have an abundance of local knowledge about great seafood restaurants, things to do and places of interest to see. Piran, Slovenia Apartments San Rocco is a wonderful accommodation housed in a historic house situated in the heart of Piran, only a few steps to the harbor and a 3-minute walk to the Tartini square. Both apartments have a well equipped kitchen where you can warm up or cook food and a very modern and well-designed bathroom with plenty of hot water. The beds are extremely comfortable and the linen and pillows are of superb quality. There's also a flat screen TV with many international channels. The air con works fabulously which you will need in summer. The free WiFi is excellent and fast. You really notice that a lot of thought went into every aspect of the apartment. Both apartments have a nice (if a little obstructed) view of the harbor and the sea. The apartment on the upper floor also has a lovely balcony. Aleksander the owner is very kind and helpful with anything you may need. He has extensive local knowledge and can always advise on everything from restaurants to places to go and see. Parking isn't allowed in the Piran old town, except for 15 minutes in order to unload your luggage, then you must return to the main multi-story car-park on the edge of Piran, where you can leave your car and take the shuttle bus back to the old town. Piran, Slovenia Apartments VIP Residence is a charming and quite luxurious place to stay located on a small hill above Piran, about a 10 minute walk to the historic center of Piran in one direction and in the other direction a 10 minute walk to the beach. The walk is mostly downhill which means uphill when you return. If you struggle with the hills on the way back to the apartment it's €10 euro in a taxi. The property is new and has a luxury feel to it. There are 4 apartments available in the building, all extremely well equipped with good quality, modern furniture and fittings. Each apartment has a large and fully equipped kitchen where you can cook your own meals and a very modern and well-designed bathroom with a large shower, good pressure and plenty of hot water. The beds are very comfortable with high-quality linens and pillows. The A/C works excellent which is important as temperatures regularly go above 30°C in the summer. The apartments on the 1st floor also have a spacious balcony and the view overlooking the bay is stunning. You can see all the way to Trieste in Italy. There's also a lovely garden/terrace which is perfect to sit out relaxing on taking in the views. The breakfast that is available on request (room service – only after 8:30) is always of a high standard with top quality foods. It's a little pricey, but you can choose and pre-order what you like. The owners are a lovely couple, Zeljko and Klavdija, who can not be more helpful, friendly, professional and welcoming. They greet you when you arrive and care about you as a guest. There's enough parking space available for all guests on the premises, which is a huge bonus in Piran. The bottom line is that this is a wonderful place to stay with some nice luxury touches, great views and with free parking outside. Piran, Slovenia Apartments Music House is a charming old building situated right in the heart of the pedestrianised Piran Old Town. The location could not be better for enjoying the bustle of Piran life. Many restaurants and cafes are right outside the door. There's also a grocery store, farmer's market and a great bakery only a few steps away. The main Tartini square is less than 2 minutes walk, you just have to cross the road, and make a few steps. It does get a little noisy at night and in the morning, but that is the price you pay for being so central. There are two apartments available in the building, one on the ground floor and one on the top floor. The apartments are nicely decorated, clean, and equipped with all you need for a pleasant stay, including a bathroom with shower, a small kitchen with basic pans and utensils for cooking and a flat screen TV with a wide variety of international channels. The air conditioning works well, and is quite quiet. The windows are only single glazed and don't quite shut properly so noise is an issue particularly in the evening. The apartment on the upper floor has a lovely roof terrace with nice views, but it could be difficult to access for some people as up a ladder and through a small door. The owners are very kind and helpful and they really go out of their way to ensure you have a nice stay. The free WiFi works well in both apartments. Parking is a bit of an issue in Piran, you need to park your car outside town in a car park. We would recommend this accommodation as a great base for a visit to Piran, In the heart of the town it couldn't be better placed. The apartments are clean, bright and quite comfortable, but if you are a light sleeper, pick another place. Piran, Slovenia Apartments Fonda House is a lovely self-catering accommodation owned by PachaMama. It's in the perfect location for your stay in Piran, right in the Old Town pedestrian zone, only three minutes walk from the main Tartini square. Any direction you wish to explore is an easy walk and many good restaurants, café bars and shops are located nearby. The bus stop is 200 meters from the property. It's an old building like others in Piran center and there is no reception in this building, so be sure to call when you arrive and the staff will meet you with the keys as there office can be a little difficult to find if you're not familiar with the town. There are 4 apartments available, from studio to 2 bedroom and from our observations they are all equally well furnished and decorated. The beds are very comfortable, linen is of a good quality, and bathrooms, although a bit small, are adequate and modern and the shower is hot and powerful. The area is not particularly noisy, but it is a big plus that the windows are new and double glazed so it's quiet when they are closed. The air-con is efficient and not too noisy. The kitchens are reasonably well equipped, although small. The staff from PachaMama are very friendly and always willing to help. The free WiFi is fast and the signal in the apartments is always strong. Piran, Slovenia Apartments Apartim is a lovely family run accommodation located on a small hill above Piran, about a 10-12 minute walk via the steps to the old town centre, so it's quiet and calm whilst still being very close to town. The walk is mostly downhill which means uphill when you return to the apartments and it's a fairly steep climb back so it's not very suitable for anyone with mobility problems or anyone wearing high heels. The view from the garden down to Piran is stunning, The nearest supermarket for supplies is 5-8 minutes away and the bus station is 300 meters from the property. There are 5 apartments in the building and they all vary in sizes, design and prices. The apartments are nothing fancy, but not basic either, they are comfortable and clean and they all have a small kitchen with a great selection of knives, plates and pots for cooking, a functional bathroom and most also have a lovely terrace with wonderful raised sea views. The windows are quite small, but the air conditioning is efficient and quiet, The free WiFi works everywhere and has a good signal. The property is easy to find and they have parking on the premises, which is a huge bonus in Piran. The owner Igor is very helpful and can provide you with a lot of information on the area. Piran, Slovenia Apartments Pri Mari is in a convenient location on the edge of the gorgeous town of Piran, about a pleasant 10 minute walk to the main Tartini square. The bus station is only two minutes walk away and there is a supermarket and a bakery within a short stroll. The beach (not exactly sand, more stones and platforms) with very easy step ladder access to the sea is also very near to this property. There are three apartments in the building. They are clean, but look a tad dated. However there is everything there, in full working order. The beds are quite comfortable and you are able to adjust the temperature of the room. The decor is sort of plain. You should know there is some noise from the road and the next door restaurant but it's not excessive or constant. The bathrooms are quite small but the shower is hot and works well. The kitchens are adequately appointed with the basics for fixing your own meals. There is free WiFi but it's slow and spotty. They definitely need to invest in another modem/booster. The owners are very friendly, accommodating and run the restaurant next door which is considered one of the best in Piran. There is no car parking in Piran so one has to park in one of the garages on the town's edge. All in all, a nice place to stay for a few days. The charming coastal town of Piran is a medieval jewel on the Adriatic coast, situated at the cape of the Piran peninsula on the northern side of Istria, with Italy on the horizon. Since being part of the Republic of Venice, Piran has a rich cultural heritage and the close Venetian influence is immediately apparent in its architecture with the narrow winding streets, houses huddled close together, rising in cascades, beautiful squares and churches and breathtaking sea views. |
