While the building is nothing to look at from the outside - inside it is a well designed. The facilities are wonderful - indoor and outdoor pool with heated seawater, saunas, gym, and more. The rooms are of a good size and tastefully decorated and clean. The rooms at the highest floor (3rd) are a little larger. The staff are friendly and helpful but unobtrusive. The breakfasts and dinners are nice, could be better, but there are still lots of choices for meals with the chance to try all sorts of local seafood treats. The coffee is excellent. The bathrooms are fairly small but adequate. The bar area is large with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. The free WiFi works well, without any hitches. The free parking is also a plus. BIOENERGY RESORT SALINERA Strunjan, Slovenia Bioenergy Resort Salinera is a lovely hotel in a beautiful location in the heart of the Strunjan Nature Park, only a five minute walk to the beach. The rooms are of an adequate size and tastefully decorated. The beds are very comfortable, the linens are good quality, and the bathroom is modern and tidy. Be sure to request a room facing the sea otherwise you'll be looking over the parking lot (not at all attractive), but all of the sea facing rooms have beautiful views. The buffet breakfast is good, with a good range on offer to fill you up for the day ahead. The staff are welcoming and friendly but remain professional and attentive. The indoor swimming pool is nice, clean, and a reasonable size to have a swim. The hotel garden is really amazing and you can sit there and take a coffee or a drink. The free Wi-Fi connection is poor. The ample free parking is available outside the hotel door. HOTEL OLEANDER Strunjan, Slovenia Hotel Oleander is a lovely small hotel with 26 rooms. It's easy to find just off the main road but in a quiet area with a beautiful view of the Strunjan salt-pans and the Strunjan bay. The beach is only a short walk away. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are well furnished, cozy and comfortable. The bathroom is small but perfectly functional with nice towels. The breakfast is fairly basic buffet style but includes all that a 3-star hotel breakfast should have. For dinner, the hotel restaurant offers only two menus and no a la carte. The staff are really friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have an enjoyable and relaxing stay. It's disappointing that there is WiFi only in some areas and not at the rooms. The free on-site parking is available.
