A local bus connection to other Lake Bohinj areas is also close by. The whole place is extremely well looked after and the location is so amazing, beside a tranquil stream and facing the mountains. The apartments are of different sizes but all very clean, beautifully furnished and decorated and have a warm homey feeling. The beds are fantastically comfortable, the kitchens are fully stocked and the bathrooms are modern and well fitted. There are also wonderful outside eating areas, lounge areas and fantastic views of the mountains. The owner is friendly and accommodating and also very knowledgeable about what to see and do in the area and can give you lots of great information. The free Wi-Fi works brilliantly and there is free private parking for a couple of cars right next to the house. Although on the expensive side of rates of places in this area, Apartments Alpik are great value. The area is perfect for exploring Bohinj and hiking. There are 4 apartments available, all pretty spacious and super clean. The kitchens have everything you could wish for to make a lovely meal and the beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are really neat, clean and bright looking. Several restaurants, bars/cafes, tourist information center, post office, grocery store (Mercator) are within a five minute walk. The building itself is immaculately clean, tidy and extremely well maintained, The apartments are spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished and extremely clean. Real quality. Fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds and nice balcony. The house is surrounded by a lovely little garden. The owner is Janez and he's very friendly and hospitable, and always provides guests with plenty of local area info. Free private parking is available. The property is very good value for money. APARTMENT HOUSE JAGER Srednja Vas v Bohinju, Bohinj, Slovenia Apartment House Jager is situated in the Srednja Vas village, about seven minutes drive to the Bohinj lake. It's well placed for everything in the Bohinj region - a great location for exploring the area. The place actually consists of 2 buildings with 6 apartments available. The apartments are of various sizes but most accommodate up to 4 people and have nice balconies to sit outside on. The apartments in the lower building below the street are newer and have better views. The kitchens have everything you need if you choose to cook some of your meals at home. The beds are very comfortable and the linen and pillows are lovely. The bathrooms are neat and tidy. Milan and Milena are exceptional hosts, very friendly, accommodating and helpful with advice on local walks, activities and places to eat. They also greet you with a fantastic welcome pack that included homemade bread, butter, cheese, ham, jam, juice and a bottle of quality wine. The free Wi-Fi is high speed and works great both inside the apartments and outside. They also have a little area with toys for children. The free private parking is also a plus. APARTMENTS VILA JELKA Stara Fuzina, Bohinj, Slovenia Apartments Vila Jelka is a modern self-catering villa newly built in traditional style. The location is beautiful and quiet, with a pleasant 10 minute walk to the shore of Lake Bohinj, and a 10 minute drive to the Vogel Ski Resort. There are three apartments, all beautifully furnished and well equipped with everything you need for self catering. The beds are comfortable and the bed linens are so very fresh, just like your grandmother's. The kitchens are well equipped with every modern appliance. The bathrooms are really nice and clean. There's also a nice garden for one to sit and relax and a nice spa area with a sauna and spa bath in the basement which is complementary for guests - the perfect way to end the day. The owners are friendly and helpful but not pushy or invasive. Our only complaint is that the wifi doesn't work on the upper floors - they need to invest in another modem/booster. The property is very well kept. There are three rooms and one apartment available for rent. The apartment is clean, simply furnished and has everything one might need for a relaxing self catering stay (or at least, we can't think of anything else) - comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen and a very nice bathroom. There's also a nice garden outside with children's play area. The owners, the Stare family, are knowledgeable, accommodating, and very nice - they really go out of their way to ensure you have a pleasant stay. The place is especially great for families with children as they have a nice garden with children's playground and trampoline. Guests have access to bikes, even for the children and there's a wonderful bike trail to Lake Bohinj just across the river, less than 50 meters away.
