The hotel is spotless, well kept and the rooms are cleaned to an excellent standard every day. The rooms on the higher floors are more desirable and have better views of Slovenian Alps at the back and lake at the front. The beds are comfortable with great pillows and nice quality linens. The bathroom is modern and a good size, the shower is hot and powerful. The staff at the hotel are welcoming and friendly. They do their best to make your stay pleasant. The breakfast is buffet style and offers a good choice of hot and cold food. The evening meal is buffet style too. The food is of high quality and always varied with a number of different dishes to try each night - there's often tasty freshly-caught fish, as well as many local specialties. The salad bar is divine, and the desserts are to die for! The swimming pool area is small but very nice. There is no WiFi in the rooms, only downstairs. Ample free parking is available outside the hotel. Overall the hotel is great value for money and really a great place for groups of tourists, families and couples of all ages. BOHINJ PARK ECO HOTEL Bohinjska Bistrica, Bohinj, Slovenia Bohinj Park Eco Hotel is a large eco-friendly hotel located in the center of Bohinjska Bistrica in a wonderful place surrounded by mountains and beautiful nature. The village itself is just within 10 minutes driving distance from Lake Bohinj and 20 minutes driving distance from Lake Bled. There are a lot of options for outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, cycling and many others. Hotel provides information and help with all of them. During winter period Bohinjska Bistrica and nearby Vogel and Kobla ski resorts offer a wide range of ski and snowboard places for both beginners and experienced riders. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms are spacious, stylish and well laid out with a good size TV. The bed and pillows are comfortable and a bath robe and slippers are a nice addition. If possible, try to get a balcony for a better view of the mountains in the Triglav National Park - truly beautiful and stunning. The bathrooms are fantastic, possibly one of the best we've seen. The breakfast is a buffet type with plenty of everything. The hotel restaurant is fabulous. The pool area is fantastic, having both an indoor and outdoor area to choose from (indoor pool has a water slide). There is always loungers available any time you go even when the pool area is fairly busy. It is clearly a very well managed establishment with very well trained staff - always attentive, friendly and unobtrusive all at the same time which is a rare skill. The spa area is nice and relaxing. There is also a bar that has a nice atmosphere and the hotel even has it's own bowling alley. The free WiFi and parking are just additional pluses. Definitely a wonderful place to relax in the beautiful Bohinj. HOTEL GASPERIN BOHINJ Ribcev Laz, Bohinj, Slovenia Hotel Gasperin Bohinj is a family run hotel, not very big, so every guest can feel care and attention of every member of stuff. Everyone working there including the owners is very friendly and tries to help with every need. It's situated only a short walk to the Lake Bohinj and the Ribcev Laz centre. It's a great spot for a break from the hustle and bustle of daily stress and is well placed for everything in the Bohinj area - an ideal location for exploring the area. The rooms are large, well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable with spectacular views from the balcony. The bathroom is modern and of a good size. The breakfast is fantastic with plenty of variety - sausages, bacon, eggs cooked to order, waffles with sauce, yogurt, cereals, cheeses, meats, breads, toast, fruit, cakes and more. One special thing about the hotel is its restaurant. The food is delicious there! Pasta, local dishes and soups are so great and taste like real home food prepared with love. The free Wi-Fi works very well, better than many other more expensive hotels and the connection is fast and stable. There is also ample free parking in an outdoor parking lot in front of the hotel. HOTEL CENTER BOHINJSKO JEZERO Ribcev Laz, Bohinj, Slovenia Hotel Center Bohinjsko Jezero is a lovely family run hotel right in the center of village and three minutes walk to Lake Bohinj. It's right next to the tourist information centre and a super market and very central for the surrounding attractions. It's well maintained, all fittings and fixtures are modern, and it feels new. The rooms are large enough and comfortable with all the amenities you require for a pleasant stay. If possible try to get a balcony room with a mountain view. The bathrooms are modern and more-than-functional. The breakfast is a buffet affair with a fair selection of cheese, meat, fruit, cereals, yogurts, various breads and some hot food like eggs and sausages - just what you need in the morning to set you up for the day! The staff are courteous and friendly and respond immediately to any needs. The free WIFI is not the fastest we have seen but good enough to check your mail. There is ample free parking next to the hotel. All in all, a wonderful place where tourists of any kind will find everything for a great vacation. The service is excellent and the owners and staff are kind and helpful in providing advice on what to see and do locally. The hotel is located in the beautiful village of Bohinjska Bistrica, surrounded by mountains and beautiful nature. It's about 10 minutes drive from Lake Bohinj and you can also cycle to the lake by hiring bikes - it's about 45 minutes to cycle a lovely cycle track and there are also plenty of interesting walks in the vicinity. The water park is just opposite with indoor and outdoor pools and spa facilities. The rooms are modern and spacious and nicely decorated with comfortable beds. The bathroom is modern and everything is spotless. They have different types of rooms, so you can pick the one that will suit you the best. The breakfast is buffet style and offers a good choice of hot and cold food. The on-site restaurant has a reputation of being one of the best in the Bohinj area and caters for all tastes including vegetarians. Everything is fresh and the food is delicious and the covered terrace part of the restaurant is really very pleasant. It is a 20 kilometre long and 5 kilometre wide basin in the Julian Alps in northwestern part of Slovenia.
