About Waterfall Rinka
Waterfall Rinka is absolutely magnificent and very photogenic, it drops a spectacular 90 meters and is the second highest waterfall in Slovenia. It is at its fullest in spring and late autumn. It’s a must see natural attraction for anyone visiting the Logarska Valley.
Waterfall Rinka is located above the beautiful Logarska Valley in the far north of Slovenia, close to the border with Austria. A short 10-minute walk from the parking lot will bring you to the base of the waterfall.

To reach the Rinka Waterfall you have to drive all the way to the end parking in the Logarska Valley. From there it is a 15 minute hike uphill. It’s fairly steep and the rocks are quite slippery so wear good footwear and make sure you are fit enough. (photo: Jost Gantar, Slovenia.info)

 Overall Rating:  10/10 (Must-See)Located in the heart of the Kamnik Savinja Alps (close to the border with Austria), the Logar Valley or Logarska Dolina as it is called in Slovene is considered by many as one of the most beautiful valleys not only in Slovenia but in the whole of Europe. It is a U-shaped glacial valley, about 7 kilometres long and between 250 and 500 metres wide, carpeted with green meadows and hemmed in by icy gray peaks. |

What attracts visitors to the valley is the peace and tranquillity and the exquisite beauty of the countryside. Farming is still the main way of life here but many of the farms now also welcome visitors, who can spend the night, taste delicious local dishes, or have a glass of homemade liquor, all surrounded by pristine nature. |
