About The Photographer
Robi Debevc Kvocka is a self-taught photographer based in Vrhnika, whose fine art nature and landscape photographs celebrate the natural beauty of the Vrhnika countryside. When Robi is behind the camera, his goal is to bring out hidden beauty of the Vrhnika area for all to see. His style, which is recognisable through the artistry of his photographs, is born of a keen eye for the many moods of the natural landscape and a life-long passion for the nature and the great outdoors. To him, the challenge of photography is capturing with the camera what he sees in his mind’s eye.
Growing up in Vrhnika, Robi was fascinated with the green nature that surrounded him and he quickly fell in love with the natural beauty of the area. Since then, he has spent countless hours exploring Vrhnika and its beautiful surrounding area with its many natural sights and unspoiled green environment.

Vrhnika is a lovely town located in the Central Slovenia region on the western edge of the Ljubljana Marshes, about 20 kilometres from Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana.

Treat yourself to sitting on one of the wooden benches overlooking the Verd ponds, and just admire and soak in the scenery.

Mushroom-picking has probably been Slovenia’s most popular outdoor activity over the past few decades. For lots of people there is no healthier and more enjoyable activity than a morning walk through the woods, regardless of whether one spots a mushroom or not. Today, four out of five Slovenians report using mushrooms as a part of their diet sometimes, and one out of five report picking mushrooms themselves.

The sight of cows grazing in a pasture is very common in the Slovenian countryside in summer and autumn.

Wow…there are so many paintings in these photos I really don’t know what to say. One thing, I have not seen too many photos of Slovenia before. I really like the rural places just as well or vice versa as the city photos.
